ABOUT:

Maryam Jalali is a freshman at Irvine High School. Due to her passion for mental health reform, Crossroads Initiative gave her a platform where she can help destigmatize mental health. Seeing how the mental health stigma affects close people in her life, she has become devoted to making sure teenagers are being heard and helped with mental health struggles. Aside from Crossroads Initiative, Maryam has her own club called IHS Grassroots Law Project which is about fighting against racial injustices, amplifying BIPOC voices, and striving for a more equal future.
